I am a writer who has kept her day job so far. There have been many day jobs in my life, everything from selling fine jewelry to shoveling asphalt on the highways in the middle of nowhere.

I am based in the farmlands of the Midwest. The country is the best place for me right now, and while I have lived in more populated areas, I enjoy the quiet of my surroundings.

I have been writing my first young adult dystopian novel this year and have started my first round of edits. My college courses introduced me to young adult novels, and I can’t get them out of my head.

I wrote poetry and short stories throughout high school and later graduated with a degree in Creative Writing. Poetry has been and still is my mistress. Short Stories and I have a long-standing marriage with which I couldn’t be happier.

I love every moment of the creative process, even when it does not come quickly. Writing is not for the faint of heart and those unwilling to do the hard work when necessary. However, in your mind, playtime can be a beautiful place to create worlds unknown.

Mental illness and social justice pieces touch me deeply as a reader and a writer. I hope to continue to educate myself and others through my writing.

I appreciate all of you for your support. Really, I mean it.

Any opinions and advice I share are my own and learned through my journey.

I wish you all the very best.
